Product Description

Course Overview

5G wireless is the next step in the evolution of mobile communication. It will be a key component for ubiquitous mobile connectivity ensuring unlimited access to data sharing and information exchange around the world. 5G wireless access is not supposed to be a specific radio-access technology only, rather, it is an overall wireless-access solution to the requirements and demands of mobile communication beyond 2020. To enable mobile connectivity for a wider range of new applications, the capabilities of 5G wireless access must extend far beyond previous generations of mobile communication like very high achievable data rates, very low latency, ultra-high reliability, and extreme device densities handling. The 5G wireless access technology will be realized with the continued development of LTE in combination with new radio-access technologies. Key technology components include extension to higher frequency bands, advanced multi-antenna transmission, lean design, user/control separation, flexible spectrum usage, complementary device-to-device communication, and backhaul/access integration.

This course provides deep insight to the 5G wireless technologies, standards and architectures in this training course, which are expected to roll out broadly after 2020.  This course also covers the fundamentals of 5G wireless communications including, applications, channels, air interfaces, antennas, operational scenarios, propagation, challenges involved in deployment of 5G applications.
